Full course description

The early history of America was wild, and we're going to go wild with hands-on projects that help us learn about this country's beginnings! Students will learn about the Civil War and the life and presidency of Abraham Lincoln, the Reconstruction Period after the Civil War, and the Gilded Age at the end of the 19th century. These topics will have students questioning topics such as whether or not we are all truly created equal and how did we as a nation become so divided that it fought against itself during the Civil War. Step back in time as we discuss these challenging questions of Early America. There is a syllabus with activities, reading, and assignments for students that would like to complete this class as their core curriculum. Enrollment in this course will result in $75 being deducted from the enrolled student's Sage Oak Instructional Fund account. Small materials fee may also apply. Please see MASTER SCHEDULE for class day/time. VLA students may only enroll in Monday classes. Enrollment: PLA FORM / VLA FORM
