Full course description

The early history of America was wild, and we're going to go wild with hands-on projects that help us learn about this country's beginnings! Students will learn about how slavery grew and why and what life was like for slaves in the south. They will explore Westward Expansion, the life and presidency of Andrew Jackson, and the life and hardships of Native Americans. Finally, we'll end our quarter discussing the Civil War. Step back in time and enjoy the project based learning of early America. Enrollment in this course will result in $75 being deducted from the enrolled student's Sage Oak Instructional Fund account. Please see MASTER SCHEDULE for class day/time. VLA students may only enroll in Monday classes. Enrollment: PLA FORM / VLA FORM
