Full course description

Calling all space cadets! What makes up our solar system and how can the motion of Earth explain seasons and eclipses? Let's go on a journey together to explore will the Earth's place in relation to the solar system, Milky Way galaxy, and the universe. Students will use models of the solar system to explain astronomical and other observations of the cyclic patterns of eclipses, tides, and seasons. Students will have a syllabus that will take them through a variety of online experiments to give them a basic understanding that will be enriched in our once a week live class. Enrollment in this course will result in $75 being deducted from the enrolled student's Sage Oak Instructional Fund account. Small materials fee may also apply.
