Full course description
This biology course starts with the science of genetics. Moving on from Mendel and his experiments, you'll learn about the genetic code and how the instructions carried in DNA are used to make proteins. Then you’ll be ready to understand the exciting new field of genomics. You'll see how biologists discover where genes are located on chromosomes and how they work out the DNA sequences of our genes. Finally you'll put what you've learned to use as you study evolution. Learn about the latest theories regarding how life began and see how constant changes to DNA sequences produce changes in the traits of living organisms over time.
