Full course description

Economics is the study of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. You will begin your studies with an analysis of basic everyday decisions, such as buying food, as well as more complex choices, such as home ownership and saving for the future. Next, you will study a general overview of economics, including the concept of scarcity, economic systems, and how simple decisions interact with and alter the economy locally, nationally, and globally. Next, you will focus on microeconomics, which involves individuals inside the large economic picture. The final focus is on macroeconomics, or the study of the big economic picture that includes entities like governments. Additionally, you will learn the role of the Federal Reserve and international trade in the global economy. (NOTE: Self-paced/no live sessions for Spring 2022. Starting 2022-23 school year, only offered Spring semester)
