Students will explore their own personal sense of voice within different forms of writing. In addition, students will investigate the writing techniques implemented by famous authors to emulate elements of style, and author’s purpose. Creative writing projects will integrate various modes of the arts and utilize digital creation tools. Writing workshops will also allow students to collaborate with their peers, and integrate peer feedback into the revision process. Topics include: Writer’s Blog, Descriptive Writing, Fictional Short Story, Poetry Mini Anthology, Ekphrastic Poetry, Slam Poetry, Journal Writing and Peer Discussion Boards.
