Two-year Spanish 1 divides up the Spanish 1 curriculum over two years (7th-8th or 8th-9th), providing students with a slower pace and additional support to build key Spanish language skills. This course utilizes Strongmind digital curriculum along with once-a-week live instruction. Spanish 1A Part 1 and Part 2 Spanish 1B explore how to discuss school subjects, professions, and daily routines, as well as illness and injury, shopping, and money through reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The course also explores cultures of some Spanish-speaking countries, such as Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Cuba. Note: Students must complete all four semesters to earn Spanish 1 credit.
